I Need A Help About The Meditation Process

Hello...

Its already my 4th day of the self development program. Everything is okay, but when I meditate my back hurts. I know that I should sit straightly but it hurts me. And it doesn't let me to focus on my meditation. My question is, is it because of the beginning or I don't do something rightly? Also, I can't feel the center yet..is it also because I am new?

Please answer me as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!

Greeting Gunay,

I am also experiencing some back pain when I meditate. Try and prop your body against some pillows, to get good posture and train yourself to sit upright in your general day-to-day activity. Eventually, your body will sit upright normally, and this will aid you in your meditation.

I hope this helps you !

Hello Gunay,

I completely understand what you are saying, and can totally relate. It used to happen to be at the beginning (today is my 5th day now), and it's still somehow happening now. However, what I do is, I sit on a pillow: it elevates me and pushes my body up, so it somehow makes me keep my back straight. But whenever I feel like my back is going back down again, I slightly raise it back up during the meditation, without letting myself be disturbed by that.

Eventually your back will learn the trick and keep itself straight, I believe.

Good luck!

Hi! Do you relax you back enough? Try relaxing your shoulders and the back part of your neck..but still stay straight. The normal position is not straight like a stick, it is a little bit curved...do not force. Good relaxation of your back and a balance between straight and slightly bent worked for me. I used to have the same problem. Best wishes!

Hi Gunay... Firstly, I recommend you to relax all you body before stating you meditation session. Make sure you don't have any tensions in your body, especially in your back, arms and legs.... You gotta sit straight, but without any tension and you gotta find the sit angle. Sometimes we sit straight, but sloping our back in a bad direction.

Aditionally, you can sit on a chair and then on a pillow...

gunay just think your body gets stronger a little bit every day. like your mind , your body will get used to it. meditation is discipline and the result has no price! be strong :)

Hi,

I am experiencing exactly the same thing! It hurts at the beginning but lately when the video is silent, you can focus more on the silence that the pain, it works!! Yes, and I think that progressively, you will be more concentrated on other parts of the body than the back, you have just to be in a comfortable position, you can help with some pillows and drink warm water before you start doing the activity, it helps you r body relaxes a lot especially if you had a hectic day! Best wishes of luck!

Best,

Zineb
