Peace Principles Passionately Projected

Why this OPS?

I chose this project for my Special Operation as I believe it targets a number of areas of Inner Peace that I wish to portray and practice. It is a way which the Peace Revolution and its principles can become known to my community members. It also gives everyone an opportunity to contribute to the Peace Revolution, and it presents an opening for everyone that is aware of Inner Peace to potentially practice and then share it.

Objectives

My objective is to educate and inspire the community on Peace Time. I aim to communicate on a door-to-door basis, advertise in local papers, place posters around the local university campuses and on shop windows. I am aiming to gather as many prospective interested people as I can to become involved in a planned eventuality of a jumble sale. The jumble sale will consist of unwanted items offered by the community, and the proceeds will be donated to the Peace Revolution. I would like to potentially have other events linked with the jumble sale to increase inner peace awareness.

How to implement it?

I am going to contact the local council and put to them my desired intentions. I have emailed Newport City Council and plan to call them on 01633 656656. I will see what information and guidance I can obtain from them in relation to my intended project. I will need to organize a venue and set a date, and need to see what suggestions they have. I will prepare a number of leaflets that outline a number of things: The basic background of the Peace Revolution The concept of Inner Peace Time will be introduced. I will discuss how I’ve gained a different perspective in my life from practicing inner peace time (IPT) for myself and for those around me. I will explain the benefits of practicing IPT, how easy it is for all to practice it. Information will be given to direct them to the website so that they may download a guided MP3 meditation. `i will also be making them aware of the jumble sale and my intentions to collect unwanted items at a later date if they so wish to partake. A date an invitation to the event of the jumble sale. My contact details will be left if they wish to contact me regarding anything, or if they wish to arrange a collection date for their unwanted items. I will be handing out these leaflets on a door-to-door basis and am going to have some help from a few friends. I will have chat with those who are in and leave just the leaflet with those who are not in that day. Advertisement will be made via local coverage facilities willing to accommodate, and I will create posters to place in all agreeable establishments, such as in shop doors and in the University Campuses. These will advertise the date of event, give information regarding the cause, and contact details for those wishing to contribute. The event will take place and all money will be donated to the Peace Revolution Potentially a class will be offered, for anyone wishing to attend, when the jumble sale has ended. Here I wish to offer an introduction to IPT and for all there to show creative dexterity in making something new out of all that is left from the jumble sale.

Benefits

Benefits from this Special OPS are that an awareness of Inner Peace and of the Peace Revolution will be instilled in many. A donation will be made to the Peace Revolution that combines the help of many. There will be many introduced to Inner Peace Time through this project. Potentially a practice in IPT will be an opportunity too. Also the classes offered after the event is finished, to re-utilize the unwanted goods, can install an awareness in resource appreciation and materialistic values are softened.
